The Evolution of the Web

I started surfing the Information Super Highway when I was a sophomore in high school back in late 1994. Back then, we had to pay $2 an hour via 56K and the websites looked like newspapers. So yeah, I'm proud to say that I grew up with the web. There was the hype, the crash, the current Web 2.0 and Google controlling the web. Ever since the web became public...I'm sorry, every since Al Gore invented the Internet, the intentions of the business world were profiteering from commercial interests.globe

Despite the improvement in bandwidth, technological breakthroughs and global acceptance, most website owners are still aftter profit. It's probably worse now than ever before due to the low start up costs and money making opportunities everywhere. Don't get me wrong, THERE IS NOTHNG WRONG WITH TRYING TO MAKE MONEY ON THE WEB. However, it is an issue if you search for something specific and get bombarded by ads. You click a link to a magazine article and you are forcced to watch a 15 second commercial. You look forward to checking your emails from your mobile device and have to weed through 20 junk mail to get to your message. And then you find those really thin, almost no content sites that absolutely brings no value to anyone. The main reason for their existence was to make money either through CPA or CPC.

The sites we are developing are self funded with 3 full time employees in the United States and are looking to expand internationally. We are able to sustain our business by bringing value, real useful information
